What is required to enroll?

To enroll in our pilot training with KB Aero, you must have a valid government-issued photo ID, be at least 15 years old, and possess a strong passion for aviation. Prior flying experience is not required.

How long does training take?

The duration of training at KB Aero varies based on the program you choose and your availability for flight lessons. Generally, private pilot training can be completed in 3-6 months, while commercial training is done mostly at your own pace, acquiring a minimum of 250 hours of flight time. I can connect you with time builders to cut the cost of flight time and help you acquire hours quickly.

What syllabus do you use?

I use a 32-lesson syllabus based on Ron Machado's Part 61 syllabus, modified to the needs of current testing standards and our local area. A copy of this syllabus is available under the resources tab.

What is the total cost to obtain a PPL?

My private pilot flight training program schedules out 42 hours of flight time. The total cost of instruction plus airplane rental comes out to approximately $16,000, depending on how closely we can stick to the syllabus.
